XP: the babies have dropped

Well, the babies have dropped.  Instead of them sitting up so high that I felt I couldn't breathe, they are now sitting in my lap.  I'm only 27-28 weeks so this bothers me a little.  Did anyone else drop really early but not have their babies until much later?  I'm a little concerned but I go to the doctor on Wednesday so I'm hoping I can wait until then to talk to him about it.

    I honestly have felt like I have dropped several times in my pregnancy, simply because I had more room to breathe and my tummy looked lower.  But at almost 36 weeks, I can tell you that my tummy still looks pretty high.  So I wouldnt worry too much, the babies might just be shifting or making room for their big growth spurt- mine grew a ton in the third trimester.
