How long can BM be frozen?

We have some friends that are adopting a baby in January, and a relative of theirs has a new baby that can't keep up with her milk supply. She is offering to pump the extra milk and freeze it for them. How long can BM be frozen for?

(I tried googling quick and didn't find much info.)

According to Medela, 6 months in a fridge freezer and 12 months in a deep freeze. Awesome people to offer to do that :-)
