1st Trimester

I dont know how I will make it through the holidays...

I used to tear up every time I heard Silent Night. I lost a close family member around Christmas a few years ago and so now the song has much more meaning to me. Anyone watch Grey's a few weeks ago? They played the most beautiful version of Silent Night in the show and I cried so hard - I cant remember the last time I cried like that. I know I am going to hear it more as Christmas gets closer...I just need to brace myself for it!

  • *hugs* holidays are exceptionally hard when you've lost someone. Hug your belly, and throw all of your love in to that little precious baby that you're carrying. Try making new memories by singing those very songs to the baby, and establishing that connection with them.

That's what I've been doing with Beatles music - it was my Dad's favourite and it's hard to hear somedays.

Oh, very good idea Shan. I am so thankful for this tiny miracle inside of me and I smile when I think that my uncle played a part in creating this miracle from above. :-)

  • That song gets me every time. At DH's family's church, on Christmas Eve they have a special Mass. At the end of Mass they hand out candles and turn the lights out while the choir sings Silent Night. It's beautiful but I am glad I will miss it this year because I don't want everyone to see me balling my eyes out. lol

We sang this one at church yesterday! It is my all time favorite...especially the "Fall on your knees...." part (not sure why!) xoxo
