Just curious if anyone had seen something or had a clever idea for a door sign to put up at work while pumping? I'm proud to be BFing and pumping for my LO, so I definitely don't want to say something like "Teleconference in session - do not disturb" but I also want it to be subtle and/or cutsey rather than "I'm pumping! Leave me alone!" Any good ideas?

Re: XP: ideas for door sign while pumping?
A friend of mine didn't have a lock on her door at first when she came back from maternity leave. Until she got a lock, she had a sign that just said, "If door is closed, please KNOCK before entering." It didn't announce anything, but it made it obvious.
She's also not the sort to really care, though (so you may want something that spells out what people will see if they don't obey the sign!). With her first kid, she eventually stopped locking the door when she pumped (just because she got sick of getting up to lock and unlock it!). One time one of the older (female) partners walked in on her when she was pumping. The partner was way, way more embarrassed than my friend was!

lol - I had forgotten about this until you mentioned it. I had this sign on my door for a while because people would NOT stop knocking and then trying to come into my office when I didn't answer.
Love.
I remember one lady on here had a sign that said, "Making Mama Lattes" or something like that. I liked that as well.
I don't think a plain ol' "Do Not Disturb" sign is ever wrong. I was also a proud pumper, but I went with that. I don't think you are "hiding" it with that sign, it's just good office etiquette to me. I don't think you always have to explain what you're doing. (When I eat lunch in my office, I don't put up a sign that says "Eating".) When I'm on a conference call, I just use Do Not Disturb as well. Worked fine for me.
On the other hand, a paralegal here used a sign that said "Pumping. And Not Iron."
Mine just says:
PLEASE KNOCK BEFORE ENTERING!!!!

LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
My sign said: Unavailable for 20 minutes. PLEASE do not disturb. Contact via email if urgent.
I let people know that I was still nursing so not to disturb me if my door was shut and my sign was up. I didn't feel like it was appropriate to put it on my sign that I was pumping given that I work in a 80% male office.
DH's manager just has a "Do Not Disturb" sign. Everyone knows what it's for and they joke about it (not maliciously). I wish i could hang one, but in a cube, not so much...
