Those of you with a Wii - help!!

My mom is getting my dad a Wii for Christmas.  She has asked for my help in picking games.  I'm asking for yours :)  DH and I don't have that many games so I'm looking for recommendations.  Dad wants the new Super Mario Bros. game and I'm trying to figure out which it is - there are so many.  What else do you think would be good?  He doesn't like the sports games - hockey, football, etc.  Says they are too fast for him and he can't follow the ball/puck :)  TIA!!

    I think Mario Party is always fun.  My DH is a golfer and likes Tiger Woods golf.  (you said no sports, but it's not fast paced)

    I'd get the new super mario where its like the original.

    We have raving rabbids, and its a freakin blast!  We also have Wii Active.

    There is a new Super Mario Bros game that just came out. I also liked Super Paper Mario and Super Mario Galaxy. They were really fun. I am not sure if he would like Zelda Twilight Princess (or whatever it is called), Dh played it and liked it but it was hard. She could also get him Wii points so he can buy games on-line from the old systems if he was into them.

    My Dad plays and he LOVES mariokart.  You can get him the steering wheel, it really is not that fast paced.  Much easier than hockey or football which I can't get together either.

    The new Super Mario Bros. game (the old-school one) is really fun! We also love Mario Kart.  I think everything else we have is sports.

    Thanks guys!!  He did mention the new Super Mario game and we also love Mario Kart.  Is there a Sonic the Hedgehog game?  He used to love that game. 

    The Wii points is an excellent idea.  I'll have to look into that.

    Hell yeah you can, that is the game I play the most with friends. You can also buy the discs from the old RockBand and other songs if you don't download them. Each disc is about $20, I buy off of Amazon.com.

    The New Super Mario Bros is fantastic (it's in a bright red case...you can't miss it!) Super Paper Mario is also pretty awesome if he likes Mario. Stay away from most of the Sonic games though...they all suck (according to my DH)

     WE LOVE BOOM BLOX TOO!!!! It is one of the few games I can actually beat DH at....haha!

    A little late to the post, but we just got Wii this past weekend (yay) and played Wii Sports Resort for Thanksgiving.  EVEYRONE had a great time, there are multiple games and we had our parents and their friends playing.  It's not super complicated for someone who's never played a video game before.

    I also like Mario Summer Olympics!  There are a lot of different events to choose from and it is a lot of fun!

    I know I am kind of late to this conversation, but... We really like all of the lego games, escpecially Lego Batman and Lego Starwars. They are entertaining to my husband (who is a video game nut), me (I don't get to play often) and even my five year old nephew. As previously posted, we also like Mario Party and Mario Kart. We are also hoping to get the new Mario Bros. Wii for Christmas. Happy shopping!

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    I just broke out our Wii this Thanksgiving to get my family to play together.  I think it's a great idea you're getting it for your family!

     What about "game" games?  Like Carnival Games or Family Game Night?  

    Regardless of what you get, it will be fun!!
