I've already called the pediatrician's nurse line, but I thought I'd see if any of you have had similar reactions.
DS had his 2 month shots at 10am, and slept when we got home until about 1pm. Now he is SCREAMING. Like I have never heard him scream. He is a very mellow baby, and for the past 45 minutes he has been screaming uncontrollably. One of his legs is also very red and swollen at the injection site.
Did anyone else have a similar experience? I know something is up because he does not scream like this normally. I've never heard this sound coming from him!
Re: Screaming and Swollen after shots
fortunately, we didn't have that reactions, but my pedi said if she was unconsolable or had any swelling at the injection site, to call & bring her back in.
i'm sorry- i hate it when alex screams like that- yikes

The nurse said that inconsolable crying is a rare reaction, and to bring him back in if it continues the rest of the day.
It hadn't been long enough to give him another dose of tylenol, but the nurse okayed me to give him a dose 30 minutes early. I hope he stops; I feel SO bad for him! I know he's miserable.
