Trying to Get Pregnant

**Dukos**

I think I asked you in a post before, but I don't recall seeing a response--is your wedding dress a Reem Acra?

It's ridiculously beautiful.

Re: **Dukos**

  • Aww, thanks!  It is a Reem Acra.  I believe it is called "Superb".  I wanna say it is from a 2006 collection...but I could be wrong.

It is hanging in my guest room closet and I am swearing I'm going to lose 7lbs and wear it again.  Just around my house...for no reason at all other than I love it!  Big Smile

    Mr. Dukos thinks I'm nuts...

I feel like a bit of a Reem Acra farse, as mine is from her Rose collection (Read: not silk... booo!) It's called Azalea and I think it's from 2004.

I'm not normally a label whore, but when I was wedding dress shopping I'd fall in love with every Reem that I found and quite often when shopping a rack of samples, could pick them out by either looking at or touching the fabric. It was ridiculous.

And yes... Those are pink and aqua Chuck Taylors I'm wearing. Yes, they were purchased to match the pink/aqua/yellow beadwork on my dress.

    It's an illness, I know...

  • What a cute picture!  The shoes are awesome!  I bet your feet totally appreciated it!

That's so funny!  I was actually the same way about Anne Barge dresses.  I was in LOVE with them and thought for sure I'd end up with one.  They even brought one from a past season to the trunk show for me to try on.  I saw the Reem Acra out of the corner of my eye in the shop, but didn't try it on because I didn't want to hurt the Anne Barge lady's feelings!  I ended up coming back the next day to try it on and totally fell in love!  All of the Reem Acra's I'd seen in ads were very, very heavy on the beadwork and were too much for me, so I was shocked I ended up with one.  This was probably the most simple dress she had out at that time.  I know what you mean though, the silk is to die for!!!
