Had them at the ob's office on CD 19 result: 6.10
I got CD 19 done, b/c of the Thanksgiving holiday, they told me to go early.
Started my period the other day (Fri night), so I'm on CD 4 now. I'm seriously considering filling the script for clomid 50 mg from my PCP.
The ob/gyn is flying back in today, but her nurse said she usually likes to see 18 as the level, and asked if I have a clomid script, and who will follow me.  The ob/gyn will probably call me in the next day or two...to clomid or not in the meantime??

If I'm not mistaken, anything over 4 indicates ovulation and if you weren't 7 DPO at that point, that could account for the lowish number. It does sound like you are ovulating though. How long was your cycle? ie: when was CD19?
Are you charting? If so, how long is your LP? I would not start B6 a) before you have charted for several cycles to determine if you actually need it and b) before discussing it with your doctor.
A progesterone level of 18 is a pretty high number. By that I mean that generally you look for 10 on an unmedicated cycle and 15 on a medicated cycle, so I'm not sure why your doc thinks 18 is the magic number.
How long have you been TTC? If over a year, I would recommend going to an RE but I would NOT recommend any more Clomid until you do.
Good luck!
This exactly. How long have you been trying? Do you know if you O? Depending on your circumstances, you may want to work with and RE, who will monitor you properly.
I am confused - your PCP gave you a script for the clomid. Not you obgyn? I have a new PCP - as of the last year or two (because I moved) and they have no idea I am TTC - I have only been there like twice when I was sick.
Is that the norm - that a PCP would prescibe and monitor the clomid?
I also agree with the pp - you should be monitored for sure.
6 months + TTC (although we only tried hard the last 3)
I'm 34. My PCP thinks we just ovulate less strongly the older we get...she and the ob/gyn have been in contact about test results etc. because they're in the same system. It came up at the physical with my PCP who asked "anything else going on?"
Yes, the nurse did think I was ovulating, just not ideally. I've been charting 2 months, and still going.
I appreciate the cautious responses against, you ladies are helping me practice a little patience...I'm learning a lot here, and you all have made me think about B6 too, which I haven't learned about until now. You all are also the only women I can talk to about it all!
