Who got the HINI vaccine in early pregnancy??

When I met with my RE today he said that I should get the HINI vaccine right away - but I am a little nervous since it is so early in my pregnancy - has anyone else gotten it this early in pregnancy. Does every pregnant women need to get one??

i've been debating too...i asked my sister, who is a doc, what she would do, and she said that she would get it, but would make sure it was the preservative free kind.

I did have mine a couple weeks ago. There were no s/e with the shot.

I got it at 11 wks. I was hesitant but work with kids all day and was exposed to it once in my classroom so decided to get it. This was the recommendation from my RE, OB/GYN, and the RN assigned to me from my insurance company's baby program.

i was all set to get mine and my RE told me not to. so i am going to wait and see what my ob says and most likely wait until the beginning of jan when i will be in the 2nd tri.

I work on a college campus and go to graduate school and I started noticing quite a few students who were coming to class sick. I was able to get the thimerosal-free shot at 8w4d.

I had my vaccine about 4 weeks ago - so just before 7 weeks. My RE advised me to get it as soon as possible. The hospital they are associated with was not giving them until 12 weeks only because of supply issues but not because of dangers to mother or baby. My opinion based on the severity of the illness for pregnant women is that yes every pregnant woman should be vaccinated. About a week later my husband came home and said that someone at his office was diagnose with swine flu - I was so glad I had the vaccine already. You just never know.

I got mine at just over 4 weeks (5 weeks ago) and have had 2 good ultrasounds so far.

I had mine at 11 weeks but would have earlier if it had been available, no troubles

My Peri thought it was crucial.

I got it at 10 weeks (earliest I could find it). My OB didn't actually give me much of a choice... I believe he said, "oh, you're getting it today." which was fine, since I was all about getting it, but clearly he saw it as a necessary step.
