First Appt

in 1st Trimester

Hello! I'm new to this, we found out we were pregnant the day before Thanksgiving and told family and VERY close friends shortly after....  I took 4 hpt, and all were positive (I wanted to be sure, lol).  So, today I called by gyno, who is also OBGYN, and they don't need me to come in at all until Dec 29th! Is this normal?  I've been seeing posts where some say it is, but I am not going to be comfortable until I get in there.  Why do some get to go in so early and others have to wait? My husband doesn't want to wait to that long.  Do you think it is possible to request to be seen earlier?  Or should we just wait until the scheduled appt?

    My first appt isn't until next monday at which time I will be 8 weeks.  So yeah it's normal. Some doctors wont see you until about 10 weeks.  It sems like the longest wait but really it goes pretty fast!

    This is totally normal.  I got an early appointment, but nothing exciting happened.  No urine or blood tests.  Many doctors won't see you until 8-10 weeks unless you have a history of loss or m/c.

    Ok, thanks ladies! I guess I'll just wait it out!  We really want to get in there just for peace of mind, but we will make it! haha!

    My 1st appointment was at 9 weeks.  It really did come up fast.  And since I was a 9 weeks, we were able to see the baby and it's little HB on the u/s!!
