Ergo Q...

I am going to give in and get one shortly.  DH had agreed that he will use it, and the moby is starting to get uncomfortable...

So... do I have to get the infant insert?  Kai is 4 months and probably 17lbs?

  • Can he hold his head up okay on his own? If so, you don't need it.

  • FWIW, my little guy really didn't like the ergo at all until he was 5 1/2 months old. I wonder if he would have been happier with it with the h2h insert. We used our woven wrap when he got too heavy for the stretchy..
  • We never used the infant insert, so you should be fine.

  • You can also use a folded up blanket as a makeshift insert.  You are probably looking at 2-3 months where the Moby is uncomfy, and he doesn't really like the Ergo yet.  Just FYI.  I would still get the Ergo though- it is awesome for ~6 months until forever.
