Coming off of the Nuvaring
Have any of you ladies had bad experiences coming off of the Nuvaring or am I just "special"? I was on the Nuvaring (I was on the pill prior) for 2 years, I thought it was God's gift UNTIL NOW! I am turning into a bigger mess than I thought. I went off of the Nuvaring at the beginning of November with the arrival of AF. I immediately became very bloated, my face became a mess, and NOW I made the mistake of stepping on the scale tonight. I am up frickin 7lbs! I thought something was up when I put my jeans on this week, but did not want to cave by stepping on the scale. My curiousity got the best of me tonight,and I about threw the scale across the room. I have honestly been watching what I eat, counting calories, and I was even very careful with how much I ate/drank on our honeymoon and this past weekend. What is wrong with me?! 7lbs is ridiculous. I have not called my Dr. to ask about my symptoms, because I figure there wouldn't be much that she could do anyway. I thought you lose weight going off BC, because I know I sure gained it going on it to begin with!!

I was never on Nuvaring but when I stopped taking my BC a few years ago... I saw a slight weight increase for like 2 months or so. It kinda felt like I was just bloated... but it went away on its own. The DH and I didn't start TTC right away so I didn't know how it affected me that way either. But it has to do a lot with how your hormones are reacting to whatever was new. In this case... you STOPPED giving your body what it was used to so my guess is that its just reacting weirdly and should go away within a month or two. I feel like after AF goes away this month and the weight doesn't start to go away... then call your DR and see what he/she thinks.

Despite everything I am so glad to be off of BC. I loved the ring before, but I don't think it would be my bc of choice the next time around. GL to you too!

I have had some serious weight gain too!. I have not had it in for about three weeks now and I still have weird things going on. I have gained about 7 lbs My cervix is cramping to no end it is crazy, and painful!! I was hoping the I was pg because I was extremely tired really tired but I came down with a cold
I may still be pg but i don't know. I also had a headache for about two weeks after nuvaring.
So hopefully all you get is the weight gain!! Good luck!!
I came off the nuvaring over the summer and have had similar symptoms. My cycle was good since coming off, the first cycle was around 32 days and have been between 28-32 since.
Face breakouts typically around O time. Minor weight gain.
The worst has been AF. While on NR I had 3 day periods with one day of heavy flow. Now it's much much worse. Heavy flow for 3-4 days and spotting for what seems like forever.
