Telling boss today...

in 1st Trimester

I will be 15 weeks this week....we had wanted to wait until after Christmas but I had people asking me last week if I was pregnant.  Apparently with a thin build the bulging stomach was a dead giveaway. 

I also had made photo card announcements and I put them in the mail this morning.  We handed them out to my family at Thanksgiving.

I'm a little nervous...

    good luck, i'm dreading telling my boss. I work for a landscape company and I'm the only designer/estimater so I will be out sometime in late July/early Aug and I'm sure he will not be too happy. I'm hoping that I can compromise and tell him I will work remotely from home so we can still make sales and I can still relax.

    There are women off now on maternity leave. It just frightens me a little to take time off in this economy...when other people are looking for jobs.

    I had to cover two people the last few months for two girls on maternity leave.  They brought someone in to help me with my job so I could do all the extra work.  My temporary help was telling people that she hoped they would hire her fulltime.  Hello...I like you but not enough to give up my job for you!
