Trying to Get Pregnant

? for those who have had HSG

On what CD did your RE/Dr. want to do it on?  Is there a specific time frame they have do it?  My RE told me that as soon as AF comes to call her so they can schedule it.  When I was in there the last time it was on CD7 or 8 and she said it was too late.  I'm wondering because I want to know if we might be able to do the HSG and IUI all this cycle or if we are going to have to wait another cycle to do the IUI.

ETA: AF should be arriving any day now, which is why I'm wondering.  Took a HPT today with a BFN.

Re: ? for those who have had HSG

  • I have no idea, but I am interested to see any responses. I have my first RE appointment tomorrow, so I am interested to hear.

    Sorry, I know, no help.

  • I'm sorry about the BFN.

My RE required the HSG to be performed after AF (it had to be completely gone) but before CD10. I ended up have the HSG on CD9. There isn't any reason why you couldn't do the HSG and IUI in the same cycle.

  • My RE did mine on CD 30 or 40 something?  Technically they can do it at anytime, and I'm sure it depends on the patient and the circumstances.  I would just go with whatever your dr says.
  • I had mine on CD11.

    GL Riley!

Thanks girls!  I was hoping that I could do it on a Thursday afternoon because I dont work then and I wouldnt have to make up an excuse to be gone for over half the day from work.  My RE told me I would go in and have it done at noon and then have to go home and rest for the rest of the day.

I guess we will see when AF shows up.  No sign of her yet and I usually spot 2 days prior, but no spotting yet.  Just get here you b*tch!
