I hate Modays! Its worse after a 4 day weekend!

How was everyones holiday? For the Canada girls, how was your weekend?

Anyone have any crazy holiday stories to pass the time?

I'll share one. Here's how I ended my wonderful, restful (up to this point) holiday:

Went to bed at 10 P.M. because I knew I had to get up at 4:45 to get my sister to the airport. At 11:45, my sister comes rushing into my room yelling that there was either a car wreck or gun fire. WTF?? My DH and sister head out and find that a car took out a utility pole across the street from my house.. and then they took off. A complete hit and run. Don't know what shape their car was in, but they cracked the utility pole, and it split in half!! So, our power was out. Ugh. I set the alarm on my cell and went back to sleep shortly after midnight, but woke up frequently because there were lights flashing and people working on the pole outside our house all night.

Got up at 4:45 to take sister to the airport.. still no electricity.. came back home.. still no electricity. Went to sleep for another hour.. woke up to go to work.. STILL NO ELECTRICITY!! So, hopefully my clothes are clean and I have no makeup streaking down my face. I'm sure I'm a "hot mess", as the kids would say.

Oy. Happy Monday.

I got very little sleep last night as well. DH has a bad habit of talking, and getting up and doing things while sleeping and last night he tried to do a cartwheel in bed. Seriously. Knocked everything off my nightstand, including my water...it was a mess. Oh, and nearly gave me a heart attack.

Morning ladies! I only have a three day week, so I'm trying to stay positive about it.

My weekend was ok - restful, which is nice. I got into a big fight with my mom on Thursday on our drive home from my sister's. It's really bugging me, but I'm sticking to my guns on this one. Other than that, my holiday was really nice.

Morning, ugghhh.

Forgot that I had my alarm set for the Black Friday time (3:50 am) and woke up to the alarm thinking it was weird that I was SO tired when the alarm went off. And then figured it out when I looked at the time, had to roll out of bed, set the new time and get back into bed for another 1.5 hours of sleep. Boo Monday.

Wanna hear my interesting eyebrow raise from this weekend?

ILs dog was nipping at people, she is 2. We said, "You guys need to teach her not to bite." They said "She doesn't bite." Well, she nipped DH, ripped his shirt and also nipped a BIL.(I have 3 BILs). I said, "What if there was a little kid over and the dog bit them?" MIL says, "Well, nobody should be taking Dog's toys because they are hers. The parents should be watching the kid, so if the kid gets bit it is because they weren't being watched by their parents." Indifferent DH and I both looked at eachother like "Our kid is NEVER coming here." Have I mentioned that my MIL is insane (like many, many times!).

BTW- for those who remember that she is now cutting her own hair... it looked a little shaggy but not as bad as I was hoping (hehe sorry, I can't help it Devil )

Morning all! First, let me just say I'm jealous of you, MixiePixie!! I'm not ready for Monday at all. Although I did already get some CyberMonday shopping in - not any great deal, but it made me feel productive (and completed my holiday shopping for my DH!).

I think it's time you put a night vision camera on him when he's sleeping... So funny!

I think it's time you put a night vision camera on him when he's sleeping... So funny!

Seriously. Sometimes, he cracks me up, but its also pretty annoying! I never know when he's going to do something, and it always wakes me up and scares me. I could write a book with the things he's done.

Weekend was fabulous. We sent my brother home for the weekend so DH and I had the house to ourselves. I found the energy to spend some "quality time" with DH, but managed to pull all the muscles in my back. Ouch! We had a lovely dinner out and bought Christmas presents. On Sunday we went to the One of a Kind Craft Show and bought more Christmas presents, then bought a tree. It was fun! But by Sunday night I was sore, had a headache and felt like crap and couldn't eat anything. Overall, it was a good weekend though! Going to buy some boots today and put up the Christmas tree! YAY! How was your weekend?

No, I'm good! Thanksgiving Day was the worst, when the numbing agent they had given wore off in the middle of the night. Aside from Thursday, though, it hasn't been too bad, and I've mostly been avoiding the percoset. They make my heart race, which is somewhat unpleasant.

She allllwwaaayys does. It's always something. Last year she was 2 hours late for Christmas dinner and then was mad that we ate without her. Oh well.

Glad to see you are feeling better. I don't like percoset either. Enjoy your last few days off!!

ugh. Monday.

I spent all weekend with IL's and their cats and now have a stuffy nose/head. Got a BFN this AM, came to work in a total grump mood and got "HI! HOW WAS YOUR HOLIDAY!????? DID YOU GO SHOPPING?" accosted by my overly chipper coworker. I want to hurt him sometimes.

I sniffled and told him "Oh, think I'm getting sick. Better stay away!" and he backed off.

I'm not a fan of percoset, either. They gave it to me after my lap and I took it twice. Made me all loopy and totally const. Ugh.

Sorry you are having a rough morning. Gotta love the Monday after a long holiday weekend :P

I would have told your co-worker the same thing. Back off buddy the elf. lol
