I like how it looks visually, and if "theory" wasn't a word I think I'd like it as a name too, but I would always think of the word "theory" so I couldn't use it.

We want a French name for our LO (because we're French) but this is one that no English-speaker will get right away. So, unless you're living in France or Quebec, I would pass it up for other, easier, French names.

I agree with other posters--unless you have some strong French heritage that is evident in your last name, etc., then Thierry just looks like you're trying too hard for something "different."
