I've been working on a project for G that's been involving the whole family. I asked each of his grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts/uncles to read him a story. Then the book they read, along with the video gets sent to me.
I know they won't all be around forever and I thought this will be a good keep-sake.
I just finished editing the videos of my parents, and they came out pretty good. Now, I just have to get the rest of the video clips and then make him a DVD.
Yeah, I'm proud of myself.
PS. Feel free to steal the idea
Re: AW: My Legacy project
I love this idea.
I wish I would have done something with my mom before she passed.
I'm really sorry for your loss. When my grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, my father recorded her gifting me a set of earrings that had been passed down in our family.
I really cherish that tape, even though it's just audio. I was her only grandchild before she passed.
I know the roots of my project are a bit morbid, but since we also live far away from both of our families, it's really a good way for G to get his grammies to read him a bed-time story

I really like this idea... I hope am able to do something like this when we have a child.
Love it! And a few minutes after I watched a few moments of your clip, DH turned and said "I like that...we have to do that". He's very impressed with your editing.
Well done, Ava!
Only when he sleeps.
