Wow, it's great to know that our sister board...

Has such upstanding ladies, lurking on it. I cross posted the moment of silence information on the Seattle Nest, and while I understand it is not the most wonderful, happy, sunshiny post on the planet, I don't think I deserve 1 star for posting it. That is just tacky.

    That's been happening a lot over there, and on many of the national Nest boards.  There's even someone with a troll account called "One-Star Ninja" who goes around and rates all the posts.  Sounds like a really productive use of time, huh?

    Apparently there's a phantom 1-star rater that frequents that and several other boards. ?Pretty much anything and everything gets 1 star from whoever she is.

    (Coming from someone who spends as much time online as I do, this may not mean a whole lot, but...)

    they have a "phantom 1 star" rater...  the person, whoever it is, rates everything as 1 star no matter what.    i wouldnt take it personally or hold it against the seattle girls.

    Nothing happens. I just think that for this particular post, it is really lame and tacky. I just went back and it has two stars. Wonder if the Lonestar Loser read this post and felt like a douchpancake?!

    I totally rated this post one star!Stick out tongue I didn't even know people rated post and nothing special happens when you do it.

    ***I did it jokingly...I'm not the one that did it on the nest.  Just thought I'd clear that up before someone thinks I'm a mega b!tch

    I'm not sure why you make such a blanket assumption about the board based on that :(  This comment is offensive to those of us who also hurt for this woman and her son, whether we are on the Bump or not.  I assure you that none of us that I know of are baby-hating, tacky people.  The one-star rating is all across the boards, and could be anyone.

    Yeah, wasn't aware. But was just informed. Thanks. Didn't mean to offend everyone on the Seattle board. Just thought it was tacky. Now I know about the 1 star rater. And never said anything about baby-hating, so that is just ridiculous.

    Did you really just say douchpancake???? i love it lol! I agree though,? get a life phantom one star person. It reminds me of those people on craigslist who flag for no reason .

    I haven't been on that board in a looong time, but I have to say, that board doesn't get much action anymore!  I was surprised to see the first page going back more than a week. 

    Now I really can't see why loner star rater would even waste the time.

    It's already been said, but I read the Nest as often as the Bump and my Seattle girls are awesome on both sides.  The one star thing is a phantom rater and it is on almost every single post.  There was even talk of it being a system error for a while over there.  Just ignore it. 

    We've been slow for a couple of months, mainly because the core group is all TTC'ing or pregnant or baby-riffic right now!

    I think it has to be acknowledged, in defense of KNemo to the Nesties, that if you didn't know about the phantom rater, posted something THAT heartbreaking and came back to find it rated 1 star, it would be upsetting. Maybe rating other posts 1 star is funny and ignorable, but this situation was tragic, and I can totally see why KNemo was upset by the rating. It's an emotionally charged situation. And the 1 star rater is a douchewaffle for not having class or basic human decency. (unless it's a glitch, then no human anything was involved! :))
