Trying to Get Pregnant

Ewwww...gross (possible TMI)

Good evening ladies!  So, of course AF showed up just as expected last Tuesday.  Wednesay, which happened to be our anniversary, I had crazy clotting, nice timing!  It was so bad that I bled through 2 tampons in 3 hours and had it leaking everywhere.  Did nothing for the romantic dinner we had planned!  The clotting was so bad that I could actually feel them passing when I changed my tampon.  This is definitely not normal for me.  The only time I had clotting like this I was having a miscarriage.  So, I guess my questions are, has this ever happened to you/is this normal?  If it happens again next month should I contact my OB?  TIA!

  • I clot everytime AF shows up. At first I was freaked out and contacted my OB right away. She said it was normal and not to worry. If you are worried tho I would contract your dr and ask any way. AF is super heavy this cycle ( cycle after Provera). I know how you feel. It sucks to be in the bathroom all the damn time

  • Yes, I have had a period where I had a lot of clots. I don't know if it is normal...so I guess I'm no help. Sorry!

  • My last two cycles were just like that but I had a hysteroscopy to remove a uterine septum in Oct.  My RE said not to worry about it and it should go back to normal soon.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

  • I've had a few like that and a few not like that.. so I really don't think it is abnormal to me.. but if you think it is something abnormal, do what you need to do.

  • I have clots every month with AF.  I've only had them to the point where I felt them actually passing once and that was my first cycle off of coummadin.  My gyno said it was normal since my blood was so thinned out some of my uterine lining didn't get picked up and that was partly what was passing.  Sorry if that was TMI for anyone.  It's normal to have that every now and then.  If it keeps happening every month I would worry.
  • Yep, clots here too. I'll have one super-heavy day to start off each cycle, and burn through many tampons in that 24-hr period (uhhh...no pun intended)
