Well the good news is that the doctors office here in Wilmington we wanted to get in with has walk in clinic hours on Sunday, and saw him even though this was our first visit AND we don't have insurance cards yet, and they didn't make us pay, they'll just bill the insurance when we get our cards. YAY!
The other good news is that the doctor doesn't think the hives are from an allergic reaction, but he thinks its from a virus.
The bad news is that he also had a loose stool that was full of mucus while we were there, and that concerned the doctor just a bit. But, at least he had it while we were there, so they were able to just take that and send it off for tests, we didn't have to try and collect a sample at home!
the other bad news is that he has a barking sound in his lungs, so he had to put him on an oral steroid. The pharmacy is NOT so understanding about not having the insurance cards...so that has to come out of our pocket . Oh well. On the plus side, the steroid will also help with the hives, so thats good.
Anyway, thanks for the help last night ladies! Dr. Sears website was VERY helpful!
