Re: does anyone know which diapers are plain white?
I think Luvs are plain on the back, but not on the front. I could be wrong. Is it a studio or a freelance photographer? If you aren't going to a studio they maybe able to clone out the cartoon characters.
I would use a diaper cover though.
I went to picture people and they actually didn't put his diaper in any pics, she said the diaper is kinda tacky... so we did naked, or above the diaper pics. In his first newborn pictures I did Luvs because they dont have anything on the back (which is what was in the picture mostly. And after looking at the pics with the diaper, I thought it was kind of tacky too...
she is an on site photographer
and I was going to play around with a black sheet, xmas lights, and the dslr.
I never thought babies in diapers were tacky pictures- is this common opinion (i ask this non-snarkily- i just never heard anyone say that)

I don't think it's tacky.
Luvs have a bluish tint to them though, especially on the sides, from the lining. DD is on the floor in front of me on her stomach and I can see the blue on her Luvs through her white onesie.
I don't think it's tacky...I only think it's tacky when you can see the characters/print.
I don't think diaper pictures are tacky at all, I think they are adorable and a plain white diaper if you can find them would be super cute!
Not tacky in my book.
Me either. My DH was against having DD naked in any pictures.
