Weird, uncomfortable, wrong
I'm a high school teacher and a student of mine from 2 years ago married the man she was dating while in school. Yes, man. He was the band teacher. Well, of course, he was fired but her mom (yes, her own mother) used to drop her off at his place on the weekends. So, anyway, they got married after she graduated and she is pregnant with her second baby.
So, that's the weird and wrong part. Here's the uncomfortable part... She has been keeping in touch over email (not uncommon with grads). But, she has been giving me unsoliticited pregnancy advice and recently offered me some of her DS's clothing since she's having a girl this time. She's 19. I'm 31. I used to be this girl's teacher.... ::Full body heebie jeebies::

Very weird, uncomfortable, wrong.
But if this is your first child and she's been there before maybe she can offer something.
My own weird, uncomfortable wrong situation: I teach 12th grade and one of my students pulled out her copy of "What to Expect" and began reading it in class after she finished her test the other day. The girl is due in December. I guess I should be proud of her for educating herself, right?
