Need advice on what to wear

I have a wedding of a co-worker to go to on Saturday. I'll be 2 weeks post partum then.  My stomach has gone down for the most part but its still squishy so my form fitting, cute dresses will not going to be acceptable.  Here is my dilemma.

All of my other nice dresses that will fit are short sleeved.  My only long sleeve dress is maternity.  Here it is:

Now imagine the dress without a pregnant belly.  Does it still look too "maternity-ish"?    Can I get away with wearing it, or do I need to go out and get something new.  I haven't received my disability pay yet so I was hoping to avoid having to buy something new.

Be honest please, I won't be offended it you think it looks too maternity-ish.  Thanks!  Or if you have other suggestions, please share.

  • I def think it could work.  But what if you tried Spanx, or something Spanx-ish?  Would you feel better in one of your other dresses?

  • I think it would look fine.  Just empire  waist.  It's nice.

    I wouldn't spend $$ on a dress for a CW's wedding if I didn't have to.

  • Thank goodness empire waist is in style.  I think you could totally pull it off and wouldn't want to spend money on something new for a CW's wedding.

  • I think it's a cute dress.  Not too maternity-ish at all.  Plus, you'll want to be comfortable.

  • Plus carrying around a newborn I think everyone will understand the situation.

It's an adults only wedding so I won't have her with me, but the only people who I'll know there are co-workers and they know I just had a baby, so who cares.  I do want to be comfortable!  Thanks ladies.
