Babies: 0 - 3 Months

When is your baby's "fussy time?"

I've read that a lot of newborns have a "fussy period" that is often in the early evening, but I think Henry's is right now! After a couple of disastrous lunch outings, it seems that the period after his 11-ish feeding is when he's fussier than usual for no discernible reason.

  • My LO waits til around 10pm for her fussy time and its usually when my DH takes over for awhile so I can catch some zzzzz's.

  • DS usually has a fussy time somewhere between 4-8 and then again usually around 2 or 4 in the morning
  • Js fussy time is definately starts around 6:30ish and last till about 9 ish. It's been like clockwork.
  • Lately it's been midnight till 3 a.m. Sad  It used to be 11 p.m. till 1 a.m. and I much preferred that.

  • Normally in the early evening, but not every night, and now that she is older its pretty rare.  Although I think DD is still recovering from the holiday, she was fussy on and off all day friday, sat from 4pm-10pm, and a little bit this morning too.  Ugg I hate holidays if this is whats going to happen to my baby.

  • I'd have to say between 5 and 7 pm.  She starts to get worn out from the day, and usually needs 15 min to 30 mins. of shut eye to make it till bedtime.
  • Ds is fussy throughout the day whenever he is tired, lol.

this is it for us too - from about 10 pm to at least 12 am if not longer

  • DS is between 7:30-11:00pm....it usually peaks between 9 and 10 but he's always asleep by 11

  • I haven't experienced a fussy period with this baby thus far and hoping it stays that way though I know most likely it won't!

This. She doesn't really have a specific fussy time except for whenever it's nap or bedtime.

  • he starts around 5pm, ends at bedtime (9:30ish).

and honestly, he's fussy all day.  If he's hungry, bored, or wet, he cries.  & he's pretty much one of those three things at any given time lately.

  • he's on and off all day too. He's doing it now. lol. he doesn't like his sling sometimes.

its funny you mention the evenings- it seems like at 5 or 6 he just wants to scream. that lasts for about 15 min. he just started doing it last week.

  • Early evening, definitely. And it has really only just begun to happen recently since he's gotten on a good sleeping schedule.

  • Between 5pm and 6pm, then around 10pm if she is overtired and not in bed by then.
