CP Questions

I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but my doctor's office is closed, since it's Sunday. I'm hoping that maybe some of you know the answers. Can I use a tampon after a cp? I couldn't after my D&C, but I don't know if that's the case for this. Also for those who use FF, would this count as CD1? Since I didn't have a natural m/c the last time I'm not sure what I should expect. It was early, about 4 weeks, 6 days, so should I expect a lot of bleeding or will it be like a normal to heavy period? Thanks!

    Just to be safe, I wouldn't use tampons.

    I have the same question about CD1...not sure.

    You should call your Dr's office, they can page your Dr. and he'll call you back (or a nurse will). It might ease your mind to talk to him.

    when i had my cp i was told no tampons.  i had really heaving bleeding the first day but then it tapered off like a normal period for me.  i don't use ff so i'm no help there.  i'm so sorry you have to go through this!!

    I would count the first day of bleeding as CD#1.  My D&C counted as CD#1 for me.  So sorry!

    I was told no tampons because the risk of infection is still too high until things get  back to normal "in there."  I am planning on waiting to start charting until I have a normal period so I can see what my cycle is going to be.  I have heard so many different stories about how long it takes to get back on a regular cycle, so I am just going to wait and see what my body decides to do (and take notes on my calendar, just in case!).
