It annoys the sh!t out of me when people call children/babies half, midget, etc. My child is not a half of a person. When we got to a restraunt I say two adults and one toddler. If they respond with two and a half, I correct them and say No, we have two adults and a toddler.

I think it's silly too. Obviously they are a whole person - just a smaller one.

It bugs me too. Not enough to correct them, but I seethe a little inside. Luckily it's weird to say 2 and 2 halves so I rarely have to hear it.

I've never heard anyone refer to a child as half but it would annoy me too.
