Crazy Cycles

I've been off BC for a year now, and have been charting religiously and using BabyComp.

 My cycles have not "evened out" since stopping the pills. They go from 28-42 days long.

Does anyone else have crazy cycles like this? Is this "normal," or should I make an appointment with my Dr.? 

From charting, I seem to consistently ovulate around day 16-17.  My luteal phase is just extremely inconsistent!

What gives?!

    kdodge- Yes, my doctor (who has more than a degree) was aware I went off of them when I made a pre-conception appointment. I have given it 14 cycles to even out. Therefore, it's been a little more than a year. I was particularly wondering if anyone else was having the same problem with inconsistent luteal phases.

    Thank you. So LP's shouldn't be inconsistent.

    Then I will make an appointment with my doctor as my charting isn't the problem.

    I'm guessing your charting is the problem.   Sounds like it's not done correctly.   LP should be the same give or take a day.

    Second time I've mentioned this today, but Fertility Friend really didn't give enough information to suit me. Taking Charge of Your Fertility is the book I really love on charting, and it covers more than charting just for the purposes of getting pregnant. It's extremely comprehensive. 

    Also, if you need to see your OB or a nurse there to make you feel better, please do. No one who would give you medical advice on this site, or encourage you not to waste your physician's time, is a doctor- a real MD would not make any definitive statements about your condition without actually seeing you or discussing your condition in detail. I'm guessing that some people who have been TTC and on this post long term feel like experts, but they're not, and you need to do what's best for you.

    I agree, I started out on FF to begin with. Like you, I didn't feel it was personal enough for me.

    I have TCOYF, and will re-read the specific chapters regarding this. 

    I really appreciate your time and effort in helping me out. I will make that appointment.
