Pregnant after a Loss

how long did your cramping last?

I know I had light cramping in the beginning of my last pregnancy and mainly it's just irritating. But how long did it last? I know it's normal and everything but I just want to know when it'll slow down! Oh and I'm approx. 4 weeks and 1 day. I'll add a ticker after I see a hb! :)

Re: how long did your cramping last?

  • Congrats to you! I feel like I had cramping up through the end of the 1st tri (on and off, not continuously). I did have a streak of like 5 days of cramping before reaching 5 wks, which was scary, but it turned out to be nothing. Best wishes to you and I hope the cramping goes away soon!

  • I had about the same as mshutch in the previous post. I'm only 5w 2d now but I remember having the same with my DD (whose name is Camille also btw!)
  • I had on and off cramps up to 8wks I think. Even after 8wks I would still get weird pains as my ute was streching my ob told me. Your right its normal, theres lot going on in there!! Congrats!
  • I was pretty crampy through about 7 weeks or so I believe???
  • I'm so glad you posted this - I'm a little over 5 weeks and have been crampy off and on for the past 2 weeks. It's worse in the evening and at night, but hoping everything I've heard is true and it's nothing to be concerned about. BTW, congrats to you!
  • I'm about 13 weeks and I still get cramps here and there.  I used to get freaked out but not so much anymore.  My doc isnt concerned so neither am I.  When I was 4 weeks they were a lot worse along with some spotting, but it was nothing.  Congrats to you!
  • I had them pretty bad (hubs called it my "groin growing pains" constantly through the day until about five weeks, then every evening (and often strong enough to wake me up) until the last couple of days. I haven't had any spotting or other symptoms that would make me worry, so I just figure it's old "Utie" doing her thing! :)
  • I had them through 13 weeks.
