So I bought the new TV online. Paid for it and everything so all I had to do was go pick it up. I get overwhelmed looking at TVs in person, so this was easier for me.
Before I bought it, I called DH and told him about it. I didn't feel comfortable making that kind of purchase without giving him a heads up, so he already knew I was about to drop a couple hundred dollars today.
After I went to pick it up, I texted him and said that I got there and they had canceled the order because they were out. Immediately, he texts me back completely bummed out. A little while later, he calls and tells me he's pissed because I had to go all the way over there for them to tell me the order was canceled and that he's going to call them Monday and biitch somebody out. This conversation is happening while I have the TV in my trunk along with the HDMI cable and am store-hopping trying to find something that will elevate the TV so we can put the cable box and xbox under it in our TV niche.
So he's working with a friend, completely bummed out because I got him all excited about this TV while I'm sitting here staring at the box and all the stuff I bought for him to be able to set it up tonight.
I'm so sneaky.
Re: Am I an evil biitch?
Let's try this again...
You are one sneakybitch!! Your husband is going to love you forever.
CRAP. I don't think the cable remote will work with this TV. I loathe carrying around 2 remotes.
ETA: Nevermind, I may have spoken too soon. I found a code that may work, but I'll have to wait until DH gets home and we set it up.
What kind of TV did you get?
I have never heard of a cable remote NOT working for a TV. It will need to be reprogrammed (go to your cable site for the codes) but I'd be surprised if it couldn't be programmed to your cable remote.
I loathe having a million remotes too. I wish that I could program our cable remote for our DVD player.
You cant?
I can program the TV, DVD, VCR and a stereo system to my remote. I have a hard enough time keeping up with one remote, let alone 4 or 5.
LOL.
If it wasn't for me programming the remote, we'd probably have to carry around 5 of them. DH usually doesn't do things that make his every day life easier. He'd rather not deal with it, so he just pretends the way he does it is the only way.
Our husbands are silly.
I wonder if I get one of these and turn in my remote to the cable company if they'll stop charging me a rental fee for it every month.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
