I usually have DD in the cosleeper next to the bed, and just bring her into bed with me to nurse her in the middle of the night. She has been having really poor sleeps the last few nights - she's had bad gas that's been waking her up throughout the night, and she's been so restless and uncomfortable. Last night she woke up around 4am in pain, and I nursed her back to sleep - but I didn't want to risk waking her by moving away so I just fell asleep curled up next to her with her head resting on my boob.
Well, I woke up a couple hours later to a punch in the face courtesy of her flailing hand. Then, after about 10 minutes of writhing and flailing in her sleep, her hand finally came to rest on my nose, with her thumb stuck up my nostril. I tried to slowly move away, but as I did she clenched her fist, and basically had her hand wrapped around my entire nose. So I lay there for another couple hours with my nose gripped firmly in my baby's hand, because I knew that if I moved she'd wake up and be uncomfortable again.
She had a great sleep; me, not so much. So for those of you who bed-share with a restless baby - you are officially warned!

Sorry you didn't sleep well. (but that is hilarious.)
LOL. I know I shouldn't...but I just can't help it.
I love how something so small can take up so much room! Kate is a horrible bed hog.

LOL I love this story
When DS wants to get up for the day and I am still sleeping, he will continually hit me in the chest and/or stomach until I wake up! I can't believe how persistent a 3.5 month old can be!
