I tried to put DS in the ergo but feel like his legs are VERY wide and it hurt his hips.... anyone have an experience with this? Is there anything i can do (short of shrinking my waist )
He might be too small still. I wondered about this when I first tried using it with DD. I used it last week and she's totally comfortable now, at least I think so since she happily falls asleep.
Babies are so flexible, so it's probably not uncomfortable for them to have their legs open.
i think the manufacturer's suggest for your LO to not sit in it like that until 6 mos old. look on youtube for some videos on how to get him in it in the "frog" position.
Defninitely check the website to find out about positioning LO froggy style. They also recommend using their newborn insert, but I think I read something somewhere about wrapping LO in a blanket and placing them in the ergo.
FWIW...I ended up purchasing the newborn insert (because he would cry when I tried to wear him in the carrer) and used it for a little while, but within the last few weeks I've been able to wear DS in the ergo without it.
