Temp question

How do you take your LO temp?  My little guy feels a little warm but the digital thermometer says he is 98.2.  We check under the arm.  He also had a very liquidy poop the last two days.  I wouldn't say it's diarrhea really. Only one poop a day, many wet diapers only on poop though.  I EBF and he is almost 11 weeks old. TIA

He has otherwise been his normal happy self.

    I have yet to take DD's temp but when I'm worried about whether or not she's too hot or cold I either check the nape of her neck or stomach.  EBF babies should have liquid-like poop.  Yellow and seedy.  Plus as they get older they start to poop less.

    I have a braun ear thermometer. Our pedi suggested it. Its an ear one and it takes in 3 seconds! Best thing ever, since I'm coming down with something I'm constantly taking mine and DS's temp

    If the digital themometer is meant for being used orally then you need to add a degree to the temperature.  We have a 3 in 1 digital themometer so we just do under arm temperatures with that.  As far as the liquidy poo that's normal for a breastfed baby as is only going once a day or even every couple days according to my pediatrician.
