Recommend your toddler bed?

We need to get a toddler ASAP.  Will is still thoroughly happy in his crib, but it's part of the latest recall so I think we need to just make the transition (plus he's 2 1/2).

Do any of you have recommendations for todder beds?  Preferably someplace where we can pick one up this weekend.

Re: Recommend your toddler bed?

  • I think I want to go toddler size because he hasn't shown any interest at all in leaving the crib.  I'm worried it's going to be traumatic.  Plus Sam can use the toddler bed someday.

  • We got Peyton a full size bed.

Would you consider going to a twin. Ryan has been in a twin since October and is doing great and it would be one less purchase for you down the road.

    Ditto.

But if you do go for the toddler bed, either Ikea or TRU. Both have toddler beds that are inexpensive.

  • I'd also go with TRU/BRU if you want...but I will also say that it was much easier transitioning the boys to twin beds than the toddler sets (our cribs converted). If you can I'd go with that (or get a toddler bed that grows with him to become a twin bed later on). Smile
  • While we were transitioning to bigger beds, we removed the cribs from their rooms, made sure the room was kid safe and just threw the crib mattresses on the floor. That way they didn't have far to fall when they were learning to transition (until we had time to buy a bigger bed). What about doing that in the mean time? It will buy you some time.

Ooo, I like this idea.  Thank you!
