I survived cooking my first Thanksgiving meal! PIP

Please forgive the clutter lol. It was yummy, and everything turned out ok! I was surprised.

  • Who knows. Sandwiches? j/k.

We're really bad about sticking to the same meals-mostly grilled chicken and grilled steak because both DH and I are very picky eaters, and we're picky about opposite things. If I'm going to keep up this cooking thing, I'll need to get some serving stuff obviously. I just winged it yesterday because it was just DH and me.

  • You should try a stuffed chicken thing.  Do you like spinnach?  I am going to guess no...but worth a shot ;)

  • I abhor spinach, but I'm trying to convince myself to try stuff I've hated my whole life to see if my tastes have changed. It is hard to make stuff that both DH and I like. Here's what I deal with:

     DH:

likes: mexican, native american food, spicy stuff, chicken, steak

    dislikes: chinese, noodles, spaghetti, seafood

    Me:

likes: chinese, seafood, noodles, spaghetti, chicken, steak, broccoli

dislikes: mexican, anything spicy (my mouth burns off at things others consider not even remotely spicy), most native american foods

Its amazing that we can eat together at all.

  • I always take a picture of our Tday spread, too! :)

I lurve me some spinach though!

And your likes/dislikes is cracking me up.

  • Im not a fan of spinach plain...but when its cooked in with a caserole or stuffed into something I actually like it.

So...do you cook a his and hers meal?  lol.

    I am at a loss....maybe a potato caserole?  Cheesy hashbrowns ;)

  • I have. He won't eat spaghetti period, so when I want spaghetti, he gets sandwiches or grilled chicken. Or Arby's.
