how many of you

Re: how many of you

  • Meeee.  I bf-ed DD#1 and had a great experience.  I hope that I can duplicate it with this baby.

  • This is my first and I have to say I am actually kind of scared.  I keep thinking what if I can't do it, or what if it hurts too bad, or what if I don't produce enough milk....did you ever have fears before you first?

  • I plan on it, but don't have any goals for how long I'll go. If I have to use formula it won't be the end of the world.

     Ditto!

  • I will.  Hopefully I don't have any problems like my two sisters did.

Yep, I plan to for a minimum of 2 weeks for the immune benefits to the baby. If it is not too terribly painful and I'm making plenty of milk, I plan to continue, but to pump a lot, b/c I will be going back to work. And I am worried about discomfort b/c my nipples have been so sore/sensitive this whole pregnancy.  I have no problem with formula if things don't work out. I'm borrowing a breast pump from a family member so I don't have a $300 investment to worry about.

  • Me!  I am looking forward to bonding.  I am worried if I won't be able to do it, but I am signed up for a class and my dr's office has a lactation consultant as well.  So hopefully I will have enough support if I have any problems
  • Absolutely!  It was a great experience with DD, after the chap crack and bleeding of week #1, which was due to crappy advice from a nurse.  I recommend seeing a lactation consultant, they have clinics here in Ontario for it where they also get a baby weight for you to check your progress.  DD BF'ed for 13 months.
  • I am.  I BF DS for 13 months.  It was a great experience and I'm glad I stuck with it.  However, this time around I'm open to supplementing with formula.

  • I plan to, but I'm not going to rule out formula feeding.  Basically whatever works best for baby and I.

  • I plan on it, but I think the key word is "plan".  I've had breast difficulties for many years and I don't know how long I can do it for, but I'm going to try my hardest.
  • Yes. This is my first and I'm gonna try. I have the usual worries about not being able to produce enough or being able to monitor how much he/she is actually getting.
  • I plan to!! I found it to be so much easier than bottle feeding with my first one!

  • I plan on breastfeeding as long as isaac likes it. I will be mostly breastfeeding though...and will pump it into a bottle when I am not with him.
