Not people from other boards, but these people who never post here and when they do, seem to *know* everybody. Skeeves me out.
I'm not a super avid poster. But when I'm on, I post.
It's also weird the topics that compel people to finally think - OK now I'll post!
I'm glad the incident turned out OK last night in the end.
Just pondering message board dynamics...
Re: I don't get lurking
I am guily of lurking and not posting. And I know lots of the girls on here because I posted lots when we were all on the tri boards together. I just lurk a lot at work, but eitehr don't have anything to add or don't have time to reply.
I'm trying to post more and lurk less

Sort of the same thing. It's hard for me to get on during the day ... so by the time I read up on posts, there doesn't seem to be any point in posting. No one will read it because the last response was 12 hours ago or so.
Plus I often don't have much that is constructive to say.
I meant the people who post with like 10 posts to their name total yet know everything.
I lurk on my IPhone too b/c I can't post from there for some reason.
Eh. I lurk more than I post -- it takes awhile to catch up on reading posts before I decide which, if any, I'm going to respond to.
Plus, I don't tend to post unless I feel like I've got something to contribute that hasn't already been said.

There is a way to get around the iphone thing. I don't know how to do it, but I know I have seen posts on how to do it. For sure Amanda on the DFW board knows how to do it.
me too!
I spend so long catching up or just reading posts I can relate to or gain advice from that I'm too late to reply.
