NGPR: What to get BIL's gf for Christmas?

Some of you know...she's not the nicest person!  I have no freaking clue what to get her for christmas!

She does have an Amazon list - do I just pick something from there? She's been "in the family" for 3 years now, and used to be easy to buy for. Apparently, now she has a problem that I'm "too nice" to her and she finds it overwhelming. I just want to make her feel included...

AHH! So much pressure this year! Does a gift card say "f you, this is all you get"? Or does a nice, warm, cozy scarf/mitten/hat set say "didn't put much thought into this, you're a biatch"? Does something from her amazon list say that I just picked something off there and didn't want to put any effort into it!?

    I would get something off the list. I like to get people things that I know they want. Is there anything that you know she would want that's not on the list?

    Well, considering what a b!tch she's being, I think picking something off her list is perfectly reasonable.  It's what she wants anyways, so she can't complain.  I just can't see putting much effort into a gift when she hasn't been very nice to you recently.  FWIW, I love gift cards because it means that someone didn't go buy me something I'd hate that I can't return (except the one time my mom got me one for a store I hate, le sigh).

    I know that she loves to shop, and that she and BIL just moved in together - so originally I thought of getting them something nice for their apartment.

    I saw that she has a lovely red vase on her amazon list - so I thought maybe going to Pier 1 and getting something similar?

    She's big into art history, architecture and has a lot of Annie Liebowitz, Frank Gehry books on her list. So I was thinking something nice for the apartment and a gift card to Chapters maybe?

    Amazon List!  At least you know it's something she wants.  I tend to do restaurant gift cards too, as a gift for the couple.

    Not at all! I usually do that with my inlaws :)

    fabulouso! I told DH and he doesn't really care - so long as I take care of what they get lol
