Notice in the first paragraph it says "light switching" that means "lightly hitting".

It was in one of the books that she has written and I believe it is referenced on their website somewhere.

  • Ick.

And I agree. Her kids, starting with the little boys down, seem to be majorly out of control.

    Go to the Wiki.

It is a "baby training" method. Often (but not always and not only) used by Quiverfull families.

Actually, according to their book they don't use physical force (even hitting) in their blanket training.  Overall, I find their family very child led , but, of course, everyone is welcome to their opinion. But, I think we should be careful before we go around accusing people of hitting their children unless we know for a fact that they are.

Did you read the wiki? Nobody here said they hit their children. I just mentioned what part of blanket training can entail, which is what the wiki says. I still don't see how blanket training is a good thing, and it is well documented that they do. I think there are worse things that they do, such as handing the babies off to the older girls as soon as they are weaned (which is also documented).

Yes, they do say they hit the children, in a couple of places.
