We are registering, and can't decide on which monitor to pick. We think we would like an audio/video one, but the reviews on most of them have been pretty mixed. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks in advance!
We have the Angelcare monitor and I love it. It helps me sleep at ease. Its a motion-sense monitor and DS has been sleeping on this tummy since he was 2 months old.
We have the Sony BabyCall 900hz (or something like that!).
I love the "voice activated" feature; I don't have to listen to static all night because as soon as she makes a noise, it kicks on and I can hear her great!

Ditto to the Angelcare monitor---it's amazing. I wanted a video monitor, but a friend of mine owns a huge security system company and he cautioned against using infared on a LO as we don't know the consequences of doing so over a long period of time. I wouldn't sleep without my Angelcare and I love watching the pendulum if I wake up for a moment.?

This exactly. I still use it, motion and all, and DS is almost 10 months old.

We have the FP Sound & Lights monitor. I love it. I like that the lights go off whenever there's noise so I don't have to carry the monitor everywhere with me, as long as it's within sight.

This is the one I have too. Honestly, I don't even use it anymore. Our bedroom is right next to DD's, so there is really no need- we can hear her when she cries.
Another Sony BabyCall fan. Totally reliable, only had interference once, holds charge forever, water resistant and the voice activated feature is awesome.
