Cost of your CD stash

How much have you spent on your CD stash? I'm thinking I'll have to spend some $ on newborn-suitable CDs and then I'd like to make the majority of my CDs one-size. Just wondering what every has been spending. I know it can run from totally economical to the fun and frivolous.

About $400 for just CD's 17 BG 3.0

I had 24 KL0's which I used for 14 days and hated I sold them for about 70% of what I paid for them.

I try not to think about the $$ I've spent. I have way too many diapers, but they are so fabulous and I love each and every one of them.

For NB we did orange GMD prefolds and XS Thirsties covers, this was very economical. My plan was to then go to all OS pockets, I like WAHMies, Rumparooz and TIny Tush better than BG's personally. I like my pockets but found I really liked prefolds and fitteds, so we have purchased the yellow and the red GMD prefolds as well as several fitteds. Purchasing Goodmamas, Bububebes. MonkeySnuggles and other various fitteds is where I've spent frivolously.

And that is how you answer a question without actually answering the question

Well I received some as shower gifts so it changed it... but I had spent less than $300 by time DD arrived and I had:

- NB: 24 green or peri edged PFs, 6 KL0s, 4 Thirsties fab fitteds in XS, 3 NB/XS covers, 4 GMD newborn fitteds

- S/OS: 4 BG OS, 2 FB size S, 1 HH OS, 1 Blueberry OS, 2 Thirsties covers size S, 3 Thirsties fitteds size S, 3 Thirsties AIOs size S, 1 OS BG AIO organic

- M/L: 2 FB size M, I WAHM cover size M, 6 premium size PFs

- Other: 3 GAD hemp inserts, 3 Thirsties hemp inserts, 30 wipes, 2 pail liners, 2 wet bags

I got most of mine gently used or as seconds which helped with the cost a LOT. But really, I could have stuck with that much for thus far (she is yet to fit in the M FBs). However we have bought more (and sold) as tastes and needs have changed. Also CDing can be QUITE addictive. So this is no longer my stash. Smile

About $400 for 25 diapers and 7 covers-I have bought all my diapers new.

2 Lil Whispers AIO (which really are not good as an AIO and I treat as a fitted)
1 Blessed Bottoms AIO (elastic is shot, so it is currently out of commission)

About $600 here. And I recently spent about $100 on pf's to add to my stash as well with a new baby on the way. So, I'm set now. Plus, everything is still in good condition so I should still have some resale value on my side hopefully when we're done with CDing.

I received a half dozen fitteds and a few covers as shower gifts, but otherwise we've spent about $250 tops. I don't have lots of pockets or AIOs, no GMs, no wool other than ones i've made from upcycled sweaters.

About $350. I have 13 BG Organics bought all new but $18each on sale! 9 BG 3.0 just sold 5 and bought 5 GM AIO. I want to buy a few fitteds and wool soakers for night.

I've spent about $450, but I only have a few one-size diapers. I definitely could have done it for less if I had just stuck to prefolds but I wanted some pockets as well.

There's a local EF Baby Store here that holds cloth diaper garage sales every now and then. I went to one and spent $65 and got 6 pocket diapers, 2 AIOs, 2 covers, and 3 PFs. I figured by the time I have a baby I will be able to attend 3-4 more of those and have all I need for about $300.

But I'm also obsessed with Spot's Corner, so I imagine I'll be doing some impulse buying off of there from time to time.

I have an estimate. For everything, fitteds & wool, I am guessing right around $800.
