Does anyone have any guidelines on how much your temp increases w/ each waking moment?
Last night DH knocked over a glass of water in his sleep at 12:30 am. I couldn't go back to sleep until about 2:30.
I woke up at 5:00 am and tested 97.35 which is horribly low and would have meant AF was on her way. Boo! I quickly retested and it was 97.56. Retested twice more and got 97.67 and 97.69. I hit snooze for a half hour and tested 97.96 and 98.06 then.
So I entered 97.6 in my chart as a compromise, figuring the info means nothing, really. And AF hasn't appeared yet. I guess it could be lower tomorrow and AF will come or it will be back to the highs and hopefully I'll still get a BFP.
Re: Temp takers come in!
I want to say like .1 degrees every 15minutes ? I have no idea, here's my cheat sheet

Wow, you went a little nuts with the ol' thermo there, huh?
Really, you should always go with your lowest temperature as it is the true basal and every waking moment after that does increase the temperature. If anything, having woken up during the night would have made your temp higher, not lower. With me, my temp will go up about .1 degree if I wait 5 or 10 minutes.
Either way, good luck tomorrow.

Oh wait, I completely misunderstood your question. I don't know how much your temperature would change from the inital basal body temp when you wake up, and then ---say an hour later while you're still awake.
Was that your question? I've completely confused myself.

Don't forget, one temperature doesn't mean anything, it's the chart as a whole. So don't freak out if you have one or two low temps. In fact one of my friends had a few temps that dipped below the coverline and that's the month she got her BFP

Good to know ShellShocked! I am hopeful - but it just doesn't seem like GOOD news to have a low temp. I'm hoping it is up tomorrow!
Have a great Thanksgiving, ladies!
i swear i dont' sleep at all during the 2ww b/c of stupid temping. don't get me wrong i love to have a chart so i know what's going on but i'm awful w/ temping, i wake up all during the night and before the time i'm supposed to temp etc... i just take it as close to my wake up time as possible.
last night i woke up, stuck the thermometer in my mouth, got my reading and realized it was 1am!!!!! ho-hum. needless to say i'm miserable today from not sleeping for the last few nights.
on FF, there is a temp corrector under the data tab. Personally, mine don't change that much. I've tested sky high at 2:30 am and super low at 7:30 am...
Anyways, fingers crossed for the BFP
