I've been following your "story" from my iphone. I can't bump from work and I never have time to get on the computer when I'm home so it's so hard for me to respond to posts. I manage to keep up with everyone with my phone by reading up here and on fb-
ANYHOW- the reason I'm paging you is because DON'T LOOSE HOPE! I was exactly in your shoes. I remember going to my dr at 40 weeks, 3 days (a Monday) and he told me I was dialated a fingertip and the baby hadn't dropped one bit! I was so frustrated and cried the entire way home. I thought I was never going to go into labor! We scheduled my induction for that Thursday (40 weeks, 6 days). Well let me tell you- I started feeling different that Tuesday night- lost my mucus plug and had a bloody show early Wednesday morning- went to the hospital around 11 am and was dialated to almost 4 centimeters and Nadia was born the next morning at 3:07 am which would have been her induction day!!! Sometimes all these little ones need is someone telling them that if they don't come out on their own- someone is going to go in and get them!
Your baby will be here sooo soon! Be patient (as hard as it is now- trust me). Sleep as much as you can and get some last minute "alone" time with your dh! ;-)

Re: umwife
Thanks for the hope Mari! I'm really hoping that the threat of an induction is enough to make her want to come on her own...we'll see how that goes. I guess the fact that I never thought I would be scheduling appointments after my due date is the biggest blow to my ego. Definitely not something I was expecting! But, I guess that's life...especially as a mommy - expect the unexpected, right?
Anyway, thanks for thinking of me. I'll keep on posting updates as things progress/don't progress. Give that sweet baby girl of yours a giant squeeze for me...que linda!
