Back from my appointment

It went ok. Other than me crying most of the time I was there.

She ordered some regular blood testing: hcg, kindey, liver, thyroid. I had asked for the thyroid testing because a few years ago I had some thyroid issues. I went and did that after the appointment. I should get the results in 3-4 days.

I talked to her about my cycles and how long we have been trying. I told her about this cycle and how I ovulated late. I talked about my previous pregnancy and how it was high risk, how I had bleeding at the beginning, my previa, and how I was extremely ill after my c-section for the first month.

She referred me to a female obgyn that doesn't deliver anymore but deals with fertility. She also gave me a referral for counseling which I think I am going to do.

She told me to wait for AF and then we can start TTCing again. That my u/s came back clean. She also said that I should expect my AF in 4 weeks and if I don't get it to take a HPT and call to make an appointment.

We also talked about the flu shot that I took, but I really don't want to think that was a factor in this.

I am a bit overwhelmed from the day so that is all I can remember right now.

    I'm so sorry for your loss.  I totally understand the overwhelmed feeling.

    I'm sure it was an emotional time being there.  And it must have been overwhelming to go over so many topics.  It honestly sounds like it went well to me, like your doctor had an answer for a lot of your questions.  A doc to focus on fertility, a referral and a clean u/s seems like a good start.  I hope you feel better soon.

    Yes, it was a pretty good appointment like you said. And she was very sympathetic.

    It just made me sad.
