My sister has offered to send us some meals after the baby is born for our Christmas gift. I think it's fantastic but I'm not sure where to direct her locally. Any ideas?
I've never used them, but I've heard recommendations for Dinner Done in Centreville. It's a place where you can go make yourself, or they'll make and deliver. Don't know where you're located but here's the link.

We've tried a couple places, and Dinner Done is by far our favorite. Dinner Zen in Reston is also good. DinnerDone offers a nice discount for new/expecting parents -- give a call and ask them about it, and they'll give you a code to use when you place the order online.
when DS was in the NICU, a co-worker sent us Home Bistro meals. they were so tasty and really easy to prepare (pop in the over or boil in the pouch). they arrive in a dry ice cooler.

My sister got us soups from this place: https://www.thesoupergirl.com/. They were very tasty.
I'd also look at the local groceries. We ordered from one out in CA when MIL broke her arm.
