So...back from yet another appointment

I have not been posting here very often, so I will quickly summarize my story. Sept. 8 - found no HB, should have been 10w6d, measured 9w; Sept. 17 - took Cytotec, ended up in ER with excessive blood loss and low BP, diagnosed anaemic; Sept. 30 - f/u visit, still bleeding, u/s found some tissue left; Oct. 1 - D&C, u/s is clear; Oct. 16 - f/u appt, have mucus like discharge since D&C, bacteria found, got prescription for discharge; Nov. 3 - discharge still there, but started spotting, thought AF should be close.

Today, I went to see the doctor for the spotting. She did an u/s and said that there is a tiny bit of tissue left from the D&C. She gave me methergine (sp?) to take 3 times a day for 2 days and took some blood. If blood work comes back normal, then she will give me a week of progestrone to start AF. If blood work in abnormal, then more tests will be done. She did confirm that the pathology report came back normal. It was normal fetal tissue and not a molar pregnancy.

Sorry for making this so long, but I wanted to share my details in case anyone is going through the same. I am ready to this to be over, but apparently my uterus is not ready to let go. It will be 3 months since my m/c in a week and it's still not over yet.

I am sorry for your loss. Looks like I will be facing the same thing soon. May I ask, if you were to do it again would you take the meds again or go straight to a D&C? It seems alot of posts I read end up with a D&C anyway, so I am curious. Also, how do they know if you have an tissue left? Thank you and again I am so sorry for your loss.
