Travel?

So at my appointment this week, the doctor asked me if I had travel plans for Thanksgiving. I didn't so we dropped it. Was he asking because he doesn't want me to travel anymore or was he just being (way out of character) talkative?

Not that it matters right now, but I will be 36 weeks on Christmas day, and DH's extended family lives 2-3 hours away. Christmas Eve is supposed to be there, but I'm wondering if we should start breaking the news that we won't be going or if we should be making plans. Please share your experiences.

    My doctors JUST gave me approval to travel for Christmas. They like for you to stay close to home once you are about a month from your due date. Because everything has been going well and our families live 3 hours away...they gave me the "okay".

    I would def ask at your next appt.  My doc said no more then 1hr from the hospital once I hit 35 weeks.  It got me out of going to the FIL's house in Ohio for Thanksgiving this weekend.... so I was fine with it.  Big Smile

    I would ask your doc at 36 weeks, personally I couldn't sit in a car for 2-3 hours right now, my back hurts just sitting at me desk. Although car seats do recline...

    I am traveling this weekend (3 hours away), and I totally forgot to ask at my last appointment.

    Ugh.  Oh well.

    i asked about traveling at my last appt and she said i was ok for thanksgiving, but not to go more than an hour or 2 away after 32 weeks.... DH's family lives 3 hours away and that was supposed to be our Christmas plan.... im going to ask again at my appt next week....
