EC related - cool reaction!
So DS is scheduled to have surgery on his skull next week. We had a pre-op appointment yesterday and a nurse did some intake forms with us so we would have less paperwork to deal with on the day of his surgery. There were questions concerning his urination habits - whether he was diapered, toilet trained ,etc. Being that DS is 8 months old she just automatically clicked the box "diapered exclusively." I happened to be sitting at an angle where I could see the computer screen and said, "well we actually do part-time elimination communication." She asked what that was. I told her that he has some diaper free time and he urinates on the toilet multiple times a day. I totally expected her to look at me like I had two heads. But instead she said, "really? That's pretty cool!" YAY! I was so excited that she was open to EC instead of automatically discounting it because it isn't the norm in our culture.
