The onions. the beans are just an onion & fat delivery system.
Mmmm hmmmm. It's the only time we have it - as it has really no redeeming health value, but the salt and fat with the (yes) canned green beans?! NUMEY!!!!

It's creamy, fatty goodness with crunchy oniony things. What's not to love!? It's actually the only way I like green beans. I generally think green beans are grosstastic.

No - YOU'RE grosstastic!!!!!!! :P

bwuahahahahahaha! Ok, I take it back - I also like those crispy ones like you get at the Chinese restaurants. But that's it. I just don't think they have much taste to them, on their own. They're one of like, two vegetables I don't like.
I'll admit I grew up on tinned beans so they hold a special place in my heart - I love them with butter and salt. So maybe I would like this... what is the sauce? And the onions are tinned as well, right?
ok, i used to loved the stuff from a can. but ever since i made my own from fresh green beans, i have a really hard time eating it from the canned stuff.
but its mostly a can of green beans, a can of cream of mushroom soup, a few of those onion things stirred in, bake, top with more onion things, and bake a bit longer.
Re: ok so green bean casserole
i hate it... i think it has a nasty flavor... everyone else seems to love it though : meh
for me, I think it's the canned onions, or maybe people are using frozen green beans, I dunno.. i've never tried one that i like

We are Americans, and this is an American holiday - bring on the saturated fat and salt!!!!!
