After his fabulous European tour in September (with his mom, boo!), he has firmly decided that I just have to go. (Sidebar: we always dreamed of taking a long trip to Europe and I was pretty bummed that he was going to share that experience with his mom instead. I'm over it. lol)
He went to London, Paris and Rome. We've decided to go to Rome, Venice (my dream city!), Amsterdam, and London for 2 weeks in late May-early June. I'm beyond excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: And an AW: DH is taking me to Europe!
My lupus Birth Story
Ohhhhh... we did that the year we had the baby, we hit all those cities. It was the best three weeks of my life, seriously. It was such a fun time. We also went in September and the weather in all of those cities was wonderful. Have fun!!
ETA: we did that the year before having the baby.
I'm so happy to hear that!! We've been dreaming of this trip forever, since we were just young whippersnappers not thinking of marriage or kids. I told him I just want this to be a super romantic trip. We can leave the sightseeing educational excursions for when we take J in a few years. lol
awww, you are sooo lucky!
i am far beyond jealous!
We did the exact same thing! I love just walking around the city and having a lazy time. Although we did go to the Vatican and Versaille. Take tons of pics!!!!
We both want to go to Versailles but we had to sacrifice France for Amsterdam. :-( We'll see what type of prices we can get and if we can fit it in.
DH is convinced that I will want to move to London. We will be staying with family there and one of my good friends just moved there as well. I would love to move overseas. I'm sure they have law schools in the UK. lol
That sounds amazing! You must add a countdown ticker for a trip that big!
Thanks guys. This trip means a lot to me. I haven't had a vacation in forever (I don't count the Trinidad trip b/c although we had fun, I was still taking care of a 4-month-old and was with all my ILs. I needed a vacation from that vacation!) We're finally doing better financially and it is really going to be fantastic. J is going to go to stay with MIL and SIL in Boston when we are gone and they've been trying to get their hands on him forever, so everyone will be happy! lol
London was our favorite city when we went on the London/Paris/Rome trip. I actually cried when we left. It was just an amazing city and I've wanted to go back ever since. But the most fun was Amsterdam.... but we went for a specific reason
(and this is before we had DS). Amsterdam was surreal. It was such and awesome experience. I would have traded Paris for Amsterdam in a heartbeat!!!
I'd love to hear some of your suggestions for the trip! Lodging, food, etc. PM in a sec.
