Some of you may or may not recall a post I made a few days back regarding my mother having to undergo brain surgery as my due date slowly approaches. It was supposed to consist of two "prep" procedures prior to the actual "surgery". Well....
Yesterday, we arrived bright and early for the procedure and everything went well. I stayed there all day hanging out with family and only left on my mothers insistence to a nearby hotel - she wanted me to get rest so I wouldn't "help the baby along" while she was still in the hospital. I had just checked in at the hotel with my cousin and set my things down when I received a call from the doctor asking me to come back to the hospital -- my mother had had a seizure as a result of the procedure and was being rushed into emergency surgery.
Right now, it's just a waiting game. They say she will be fine and I believe this in my heart of hearts but I'd be lying if I didn't say I am on edge as I try to stay calm and not go into labor.
Ladies, please send happy thoughts, vibes, and prayers into the atmosphere for my mom. She was supposed to be able to come home Thanksgiving morning. Now they are saying she will be in there at least a week.
Please pray my mother makes a speedy, FULL recovery and that my baby boy stays put until she can be by our side -- something she desparately wants... Thanks in advance for your well wishes and for allowing me to get this off my chest.
Have a wonderful holiday!
Re: In desperate need of your T&Ps ladies...
Lots of thoughts and prayers! I'm so sorry you're going through this, especially during your pregnancy and the holiday!
Sorry to hear that!!! Sending T&P's your way!
T&Ps. Try to relax and not worry too much about labor. You still have a few weeks so you should be fine for a while. Stay hydrated and put your feet up when you can. Dont forget to take care of yourself while worrying about mom!
Good Luck
Sending prayers for both you and your mom...
